Adults are role models. But sometimes, they are also strange creatures that you don’t understand. Nando von Arb tells the story from the perspective of a growing child: about separation and farewell. And about how family can be both terrible and beautiful.

Nando is two years old when his biological father separates from his mother. On that day, his mother transforms into a dangerous and angry predator, defending the children against everything and everyone. And suddenly, Nando has three fathers: his own, Kiko, the father of his sister, and soon Zelo, his mother’s new partner. From an early age, Nando is confronted with significant changes due to the decisions of the adults around him. With fear and sorrow – his own, but also his mother’s. At the same time, there are people around him who, in their differences, complement each other and show the growing child several possible models of what it means to be human.
